I ordered the low loft-firm for myself since I like the firmest type of regular pillow for side/back sleeping, and some other reviews said the high loft was way too high. I ordered the low loft-plush for my husband. One had an odor; like mildew, the other did not. I liked my husband's pillow better. The firm was a bit too high/firm for me. It is a nice pillow. Not sure if the smell goes away.

We have aired out this pillow in the sunlight for several days and it has not lessened the foul order. (Smells worse than the old oven cleaners) Even the room it has been left in overnight before returning outside smells now. We will be returning asap. Care for family too much to risk possible health issues.

The pillows were very uncomfortable (too "hard") and had a strong chemical smell that gave us a headache. They were returned after one night of use.
